The Max

Schuyler ("Skyler") is named for his Dutch ancestor on the Wells side. Maxwell is in honor of Neal A. Maxwell. This is our sixth child, and our best sleeper (thank heavens!). He joined "All the Halls" on May 6, 2008. His smiles can keep us entertained for as long as he's willing to grant them. And yesterday he gave a delightful premiere of his deep-gurgling laugh. Although a big distraction for siblings with homework, he is well-loved, and so welcome. He was 7 lbs. 1 oz. and 19.5 " long. Sam is smitten, Abbie sure that the baby favors her, and Zach holds him gently in his (all of the sudden) seemingly large hands. Millie volunteers her services for retrieving bottles, burpers, diapers and wipes -- she is therefore, "The bestest helper."

Questions:

1.How can a parent who has already given so much love to 5 children previously have the capacity to fall head over heels all over again? That heart of mine just keeps swelling.

2. Do Hall babies ever feel a bit smothered by all of those kisses? We can't help ourselves.

What a little cutie Schuyler is. I can't wait to see his personality emerge. He will be another interesting Hall person, I'm sure. Your write-up on him is precious. I forgot question #1, but as for question #2, you can never get enough kisses. :-)

Okay, I went back and read question #1 again. Who could resist a cute, cuddly, warm, soft, innocent, tiny person who thinks you have the answer to all of life's mysteries? You just have a mother's heart, I guess. :-)
